Today is World Health Day

The World Health Organization (WHO) was founded on this day, 7 April 1948.
This organization was established to deal with global diseases and epidemics and to create health policies.
Every year 7 April is celebrated as World Health Day. World Health Day is also a global health awareness day celebrated on 7th April every year under the sponsorship of WHO and other related organizations.
In 1948, WHO organized the first World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate Health Day on 7th April every year with effect from 1950.
The first World Health Day was celebrated on April 7, 1950 and has been celebrated every year since then.
This day is also used as an opportunity to draw global attention to important issues for global health.
WHO organizes international, regional and local programs on the occasion of Health Day. The theme of this year’s World Health Day 2024 is ” My Health My Rights”.
The day is also being celebrated in Nepal with various programs.
